Leigh is the director of CAP Production Solutions. His work
for the company sees him involved in many aspects of artistic and technical
work in the theatre and entertainment industry. As a Lighting Designer,
Leigh has worked across the country on a huge variety of projects,
not only lighting shows, but also on diverse projects such as lighting the Tower of London
for the British Tourist Association. Leigh is an associate lighting
designer for the show 'Art', both in the West End and on tour, which he looks after
for Hugh Vanstone. This Work as an associate is an extension of
many years work as a production electrician on major
national tours and West End shows. This work sees him taking an LD's
original design and re-creating it in a diverse variety of theatres. Fairly recently, Leigh has re-kindled his interest in Sound Design, and has lately worked at Cambridge Arts Theatre on their last two pantomimes and he also designed a try-out show called 'Ying-Tong' for Michael Codron at Hampstead Theatre. Over the past few years, Leigh has begun to work extensively as a technical and production manager. Some of this work has been in the corporate sector, on projects such as the British Independent Film Awards, but principally it has been in the theatre industry. In this role, Leigh assumes greater responsibility for the production of shows and their subsequent runs. He has to deal on a very close level with the creative team and producers, as well as having to manage and run teams of staff and crew, while also juggling budgets. Terms and conditions of trade |
